Offshore wind installation vessel Voltaire – successful completion of construction, installation and commissioning of monopile/sea fastening system.

APT Global Marine and Offshore Engineering UAE, a leading provider of solutions for the marine and offshore industry, has successfully completed a major project for the construction and installation of sea fastening systems onboard the offshore wind installation vessel “Voltaire” of Jan De Nul Group.

The project, was awarded in July 2022 for a volume of 1,250 tons and  executed in APT Global’ s facility in the RAK Maritime City UAE. The project enhanced the construction and installation of a state-of-the-art handling system that will be applied for the installation of wind turbine components. The system was specifically designed by Jan De Nul Group to meet the requirements of the offshore wind installation vessel Voltaire one of the largest and most advanced vessels of her kind, on the specific assigned installation project. 

The project construction took 6 months to complete and involved a team of highly skilled engineers and technicians. APT Global’ s expertise in the marine and offshore industry, coupled with its state-of-the-art facilities, allowed the company to deliver the project within its milestones. The construction contract involved, the manufacture of the 5 grillage system and the Tip end/Root end supporting structure for the blade rack. As part of the installation works, APT installed the leg monitoring system for the 4 legs involving scaffolding on the entire 130-meter height.
